Owned and managed by the City of Houston, the George R. Brown Convention Center was inaugurated in 1987 and is a innovative exhibition venue that has an ultramodern look in its design that embodies the center's commitment to function. This unique facility provides around 1,800,000 sq ft of adaptable, multi-purpose space and offers 7 exhibit halls of total 853,500 sq ft of exhibit space. Other features offered by the Center are a grand ballroom of 31,500 sq ft that can be divisible into 3 sections, an amphitheater that can seat around 3,600 guests, 100 meeting rooms with around 185,000 sq ft of space, 17 show offices, 8 boardrooms, 4 conference rooms, 66 Loading Docks, 9 drive-in doors and 39 freight doors. This sophisticated venue has been the chosen destination for many leading exhibitors and has held many regional as well as international exhibitions & events of eminent nature.
